"I started my counselling in April 2024 once my daughter went into remission from having AML leukaemia, 6 months of watching Daisy fight for her life took its toll on me and when she went into remission I didn’t want to leave the house and started suffering with anxiety, I would cry at the slightest thing, I think everything we had been through I had held it all in for Daisy and had been so strong for her that once she was better is when it all caught up with me, I reached out to Taylor made dreams who helped get me counselling, it felt so good to talk to someone and let it all out and I thought I was doing so well until tests looked like Daisy was relapsing in July, we had to wait for further tests and it wasn’t until September that it was confirmed she had relapsed and needed a stem cell transplant, Daisy went through more chemotherapy while we waited for this and in December went into hospital to start her treatment. Through all this I carried on with my counselling in person and online when I wasn’t able to get to Crowborough, I lived for those sessions as it was a little bit of time for me.
Sadly and very suddenly Daisy became very poorly and went to sleep forever on the 28th December 2024
I honestly don’t know where I would be without counselling, losing my darling girl has literally broke my heart forever, but Karen has helped me see a way forward. I’m still very up and down and find living hard and exhausting but I am learning to live and enjoy life as well.
Taylor made dreams really has helped me and I will forever be grateful to them"
