A message from the Smith family ❤️
Our family will be forever grateful to this amazing charity. We met Taylor Made Dreams when unfortunately, our 7-year-old son Jared was moved to palliative care after his long battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma. We wish we had met them earlier.
Taylor made Dreams came and discussed with Jared and his sister Sasha what sort of dreams they could make come true. Unfortunately, Jared passed away before he could do everything on his list but something very special happened on his last day here with us.
Taylor Made Dreams arranged for David Walliams to come to our house and read Jared's favourite book ‘Mr Stink’ to him. It was amazing! Jared was very weak on that morning, but he certainly knew about his special visitor. David also arrived with a canvas with Jared pictured as his favourite superhero Thor, this was to become a huge comfort to us in the following weeks. We didn’t know we would lose Jared that night, but that visit will stay with us forever as a very happy memory on such a sad day.
The charity also arranged a special day with Kent police which Jared didn’t get to do, instead he had police outriders to escort the hearse on the day of his funeral, exactly as he would have loved it to be! At Jared's ‘celebration of life’ party for his young friends, the charity arranged the catering, special Jared as Thor badges and memory pages for the children to share their favourite memory of Jared. These pages were turned into an amazing memory book which is a beautiful keepsake.
Taylor made Dreams has been a huge support to our family before and after Jared’s passing, with sibling support and holistic therapies to help us in such a tragic time of our lives.
Taylor Made Dreams is a brilliant charity and we are so thankful to have them help us.
